In hour two of After Further Review, Matt is joined by former LSU long snapper Blake Ferguson. Ferguson is one of 16 Tigers invited to the NFL Combine. What’s the transition from college athlete to pro athlete?
“It’s different. This is a cool time, and it’s something that I’m trying to enjoy,” Ferguson said.
Ferguson has been using the hashtag 165 on his training videos. The former Tiger explains the significance of the number to his preparation.
“The highest a long snapper has ever been drafted is 166. I think it’s in the fifth round,” Ferguson said. “I’ve been using the number 165 as motivation. I write it on my mirror.”
NFL free agency is set to pick up shortly. Matt talks comments made by Vonn Bell about wanting to stay with the Saints.
Former LSU and NBA forward Stromile Swift joins Matt in his weekly spot to recap LSU’s last week of basketball. It was an up and down week with the two losses on the road at Vandy and Auburn, before bouncing back last night vs. Missouri. What is the one takeaway Swift has from LSU’s win over Mizzou?
“Darius Days, man he’s an offensive nightmare. He creates a mismatch for a lot of teams,” Swift said. “A lot of guys can’t guard him. He’s got that Draymond Green build, but he’s so aggressive.”
Musso catches you up on the former Tigers in the pros.
