In hour three of After Further Review, Matt talks the silly notion that Drew Brees is regressing. With the win last night Brees now has 49 career game winning drives in the 4th quarter or later. This ranks second all-time since the NFL merger.
Matt gives a few other takeaways from the Saints’ victory. The play of Trey Hendrickson is something that caught Matt’s eye. Deonte Harris also stood out last night in the return game, but not for positive reasons. Matt discusses if it was just first game jitters or a sign of a deeper problem.
Rohan Davey joins Matt to talk the LSU victory over Texas this past weekend in Austin. Joe Burrow’s performance was the best passing game an LSU quarterback had since Davey in 2001. Did Davey see any similarities in Joe’s performance to his own back then?
“Just a definite calmness, and understanding where he wanted to go with the ball at all time,” Davey said. “He was in total control.”
Matt, Paul and Musso wrap up the show with listener questions in “AskUs.”
