Chris Fowler talks LSU-Florida before taking to the mic on Saturday night

Weekdays 3PM - 6PM

The Voice of Saturday Night Football on ESPN, Chris Fowler joins Matt in hour one. Fowler will be on the call Saturday night for the LSU-Florida matchup.

“I’m getting fired up,” Fowler said.

Fowler has been keeping tabs on LSU this season. Is it safe to say that there isn’t anybody who can completely stop LSU’s attack?

“Yeah, anybody is a bold statement. We will see when they go to Tuscaloosa in November,” Fowler said. “I think they have all the ingredients to do it. Burrow is a great story, and I love what Joe Brady is doing. The concern you have with LSU beating anybody is defensively.”

What is he hoping for on Saturday? A shootout or a grind it out type game?

“Honestly, I’d like it to be well played,” Fowler said. “We like them to come down to the end.”

When LSU hired Coach O in 2016 it was met with mixed reviews. Fowler speaks to how far Coach O has come.

“The results speak for themselves. You see what he inspires in his assistants who want to work for him, or his players who want to play for him. He’s made very  very good decisions on who to bring in. LSU fans should be excited. I think people around the country who were chuckling when he was hired, they aren’t doing that anymore.”

Fowler has made many trips to Baton Rouge with College Gameday, as well as, calling games. He takes us through some of his best memories.

“The morning where I sweated through a jacket on Gameday it was so hot,” “I think the Florida game in 1997 sticks out as well.”
