Chris Trapasso talks Senior Bowl and NFL Draft

Weekdays 3PM - 6PM

In hour three of After Further Review, Matt is joined from Mobile, Al at the Senior Bowl by CBS Sports draft writer Chris Trapasso. What is the biggest surprise so far this week in Mobile?

“Probably Justin Herbert being here. It’s reminiscent of Carson Palmer coming down here when being thought of as a high draft pick,” Trapasso said.

Tua Tagovailoa isn’t at the game, but what if anything is Trapasso hearing about the former Alabama quarterback?

“I think it’s really the Miami Dolphins or bust. With them picking at No. 5 it feels like a safe spot where if he isn’t able to play immediately they are still rebuilding,” Trapasso said. “If he doesn’t go at No. 5, I’m not saying we will see an Aaron Rodgers type drop, but it will be a while before he is picked.”

LSU is well represented at the game. Who has stood out the most so far from LSU?

“Probably Lloyd Cushenberry the center. He was a late add, and I got a late start watching his film because of that,” Trapasso said. “In the first day of practice Lloyd Cushenberry was the best interior blocker on his team. He’s intriguing to me because he has the opportunity to be the first center off the board and start as a rookie.”

Trapasso explores the possibillity of the Bengals trading the No. 1 pick and not drafting Joe Burrow. Does he see it as a possibility?

“I would say remote. I’m not going to say zero percent, but I think it’s low,” Trapasso said. “The Andy Dalton era there has kind of run it’s course.”
