Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards joined Jordy and T-Bob to talk about tomorrow’s Louisiana State Bond Commision’s vote on the financial plan to renovate the Mercedez-Benz Superdome.
Governor Edwards gave a lot of credit to Saints Owner Gayle Benson, who has done a tremendous job keeping the players and coaches invested in the team.
With unrivaled energy and excitement surrounding the @Saints, there’s no better place for the organization to call home than New Orleans. Our goal is to keep the Saints in the Superdome for decades to come and we’re excited to work toward making that happen. #lagov #lalege pic.twitter.com/nBrhbQeLv1

We live in a time where everyone is “keeping up with the Joneses.” As a result, Governor Edwards laid out the plan for how they will keep the Superdome relevant. Furthermore, Governor Edwards is excited about the joint effort between the Saints organization, who is going to be putting up significant resources to make the upgrades happen, and the state.
“If we could just make upgrades to it periodically, we could keep it a competitive facility,” Governor Edwards said about some of the potential retrofitted upgrades.
Also, Governor Edwards discussed enlisting the help of Saints QB Drew Brees for a project. He will help in promoting Louisiana’s new program to certify veteran-owned businesses. Finally, Governor Edwards discussed how much fun he had participating in Brees’ QB Challenge.
