In hour one of Off the Bench, Jordy and T-Bob lead off with Headlines where they give a brief recap of the weekend.
Jordy and T-Bob talk the latest developments in the College Basketball federal proceedings. A Kentucky assistant coach’s name came up in court this weekend dealing with payments for players and the Nike EYBL league.
“All of College Basketball is infected,” T-Bob said. “They aren’t even trying to hide it.”
The guys recap the thrilling comeback victory led by quarterback, Taysom Hill for the Saints Sunday vs the Chargers. Second string quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater got the start and had what T-Bob calls his worst performance since he’s been in a Saints uniform. Jordy and T-Bob discuss where the Saints go from here in the search for a backup to Drew Brees. The popular suggestion is more snaps or Hill, and the guys agree.
“I think you swap the snaps,” Jordy said. “Give Hill the ones and give Bridgewater the twos.”
ESPN’s Dick Vitale returns to the show to talk with the guys about the latest in the college basketball federal proceedings. Vitale touches on his tweets from the weekend regarding Kentucky assistant Kenny Payne.
“It’s ugly, it’s not good for the game.” Vitale said. “In the case of Kenny Payne he wasn’t quoted at all. His name was just mentioned.”
