OTB Hour 1 | The pressure is on for LSU’s defense

Weekdays 7AM - 9AM

Jordy and T-Bob talk about the unfortunate decision by ESPN to not carry the Alabama vs LSU on prime time. Joe Burrow is a legitimate Heisman candidate and Passing Game Coordinator Joe Brady is on fire.

Jordy gave credit to Texas QB Sam Ehlinger; he played much better than they anticipated. However, the security came with the defensive backfield. T-Bob discussed some of the reasons that the LSU defense seemed to fail against Texas. One of the major thing was the Tigers’ inability to get off the field on 3rd down.

“I think they’re missing a couple of guys on the front line, as far as depth goes,” Jordy said.

Former Tiger and current Monday Night Football’s anaylyst Booger McFarland joined to talk about Louisiana’s big weekend over Texas.

“We’ve got an offense down in Baton Rouge,” Booger joked. “Joe Burrow showed you what he’s made of.”

However, he was disappointed with the defense.

“We’re not going to score 40 points every game, you’ve got to be able to stop people,” McFarland said. “I look for that defense to play a lot better this week.”

McFarland assumed the New Orleans Saints would take the win, so he didn’t leave surprised with their win. However, the Houston Texans performed at a much high level than he thought.

“I left that game feeling the same about the Saints,” McFaraland said. “But I left feeling much better about the Texans.”
