In hour one of After Further Review, Matt begins to put a wrap on previewing LSU-Alabama. The point spread has dipped once more, now down to Alabama -5.5. Coach Ed Orgeron met with the media for the final time on Thursday. Coach O reaffirmed that safety, Grant Delpit will play on Saturday. Backup left tackle, Dare Rosenthal will not be available for this game.
College football analyst, Phil Steele joins Matt to preview the biggest game of the weekend in LSU at Alabama. Matt and Steele touch on some other games around the country as well. Why can LSU score against Alabama?
“To put it easily it’s the different offense,” Steele said. “I think LSU can challenge them with the spread offense.”
Is Alabama’s defense not as good as years prior?
“I think it is definitely not up to Alabama standards,” Steele said. “They’ve been getting better the last couple of games, but that might have something to do with the opponent as well.”
How does LSU stop Alabama’s offense?
“The key to this game in that respect is the tackling in LSU’s secondary,” Steele said.

Celebrity chef and Talk 107.3 host Jay Ducote joins Matt for the weekly tailgate segment. What does Jay have for us for the Game of the Century part 2?
“We are playing Alabama so I brought a bunch of chicken wings,” Ducote said. “Not to say Alabama is chicken or anything. I also brought some Alabama style white barbeque sauce.”
Is there a place where we can buy this barbecue sauce?
“I don’t know if you can buy it around here,” Ducote said. “I might do a Jay Ducote white barbeque sauce.”
