AFR 3-17-2020 Hour 3 | SEC Cancels Spring Sports

Weekdays 3PM - 6PM

In hour three of After Further Review, Matt talks the SEC canceling the remaining seasons and championships in the current academic year. This means all spring sports including spring football games and pro days across the league are over.

Matt talks the QB carousel in the NFL today, and looks at way to early college football lines for the 2020 season.

Former LSU and New England Patriot Rohan Davey joins Matt to talk the news of Tom Brady heading to free agency and leaving the Pats after 20 years and 6 Super Bowl titles. What was Davey’s reaction to the news?

“I wouldn’t say I’m surprised. I thought there was a slight chance he could stay there,” Davey said. “I know how New England does business in wanting to stay ahead of the curve. That’s why there was such a fallout with Jimmy Garoppolo.”

What can Davey tell us about the relationship between Bill Belichick and Brady? Was it a frayed relationship?

“Well I would say that that has to be true in some facet. I know the relationship with Kraft was always good,” Davey said. “Bill treats it like a business. Loyalty doesn’t mean as much.”

The show wraps with What We Learned.
