In hour two of After Further Review, James Moran is joined by Mike Detiller.
Mike talked about Joe Brady and Ed Orgeron’s relationship and how Orgeron will embrace this new offense.
“Ed’s excited about what they have,” said Mike. “Ed understands the amount of wide-outs you can get from (Louisiana).”
A lot of the short passing game is what Orgeron has always known, especially at Miami and USC. Mike also talked about how that will help the LSU O-line and the running game. Mike also talked about expectations for Joe Burrow in 2019 and how comfortable he is to run this offense.
“If this season ends up like I think it will, Joe Burrow will be the one to have saved Coach Orgeron’s job,” said Mike.
Mike talked about the running backs and their fit in LSU’s offense.
Mike gave an update on the Saints. He will be “very surprised” if Michael Thomas doesn’t get a long-term contract extension.
He looked at the position battles going into Saints training camp and more!
