Alden Cartwright talks LSU Baseball

Weekdays 3PM - 6PM

Former LSU pitcher Alden Cartwright joins Matt to talk some LSU Baseball. The Tigers head down to Thibodaux to face Nicholls tonight. LSU has been using technology to help keep their pitchers healthy this offseason with the Motus sleeve. Cartwright offers his thoughts.

“I think it’s incredible. Even the few years ago when I was at LSU it was determined by what the pitcher was saying on how they felt. What the trainer thought,” Cartwright said. “Now they can actually tell how the pitcher is feeling with the sleeve.”

Eric Walker is getting the ball tonight for the Tigers against Nicholls St. What should we expect the plan to be for Walker tonight?

“I think he’s expecting him to get them off to a good start,” Cartwright said. “I’m sure he’s on a pitch count like the rest of the starters have been. Off to a good start is the first goal. Get Eric’s pitch count up is the second goal.”

Cartwright gives his observations on LSU’s weekend rotation after the opening weekend.
