Brody Miller thinks LSU’s main postseason priority is replacing their Defensive Coordinator

Weekdays 7AM - 9AM

Brody Miller of The Athletic joined Jordy and T-Bob to talk about football post-season. Miller began by confirming that Defensive Line Dennis Johnson will stay at LSU instead of join Coach Dave Aranda in Waco.

“The guys Dave Aranda was going for weren’t going to be full time position coaches at LSU,” Miller said. “So, I don’t think you can begrudge him there.”

Has he heard anything on LSU’s coaching search?

“I think Bob Pelini was a strong candidate,” Miller said. “It’s tricky because they cycle is almost over.”

Miller talked about what LSU’s main focus will be this offseason.

“The biggest priority is, by a wide margin, figuring out Defensive Coordinator,” Mille said.

Lloyd Cushenberry has looked great this week at the Senor Bowl. Besides Joe Burrow, will LSU miss Cushenberry the most?

“I think of him and Patrick Queen,” Miller said of who LSU will miss the most.

Finally, he talked about how there are no obvious candidates for QB other than Myles Brennan.

“All signs point to that he is going to be the guy and it’s going to be a fascinating year,” Miller said.
