Bruce Feldman believes in this year’s LSU offense

Weekdays 7AM - 9AM

The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman joined Off the Bench to talk about his annual “Freak List” and his recent article about new LSU Passing Coordinator Joe Brady.

“I learned just how well respected Joe Brady was,” Feldman said about his biggest takeaway from the article. “You talk to some many people who have worked with Joe Brady and they are so impressed with him.”

T-Bob felt like he was an evangelical preacher at SEC Media Days, singing Joe Brady’s praise. He asked Feldman if he was buying into the LSU Offense.

“After seeing it live at practice, I’m a believer. I think the biggest thing is how much better positioned the skill guys are going into 2019 than they were in 2018.”

Feldman recapped his time at Big Ten Media Days. What was the reaction to former LSU Head Coach and current Kansas Head Coach Les Miles?

“There were a lot of people who would say, ‘You’re going to have to work three times as hard to get Kansas going as you did to get LSU going,'” Feldman said. “It seemed like he struggled to remember the names of his players, it just seemed like he struggled.”

Feldman discussed whether there was any interest in the LSU vs Texas match-up at the meeting.

“They were trying to steer clear of it because it’s a week two game,” Feldman said.

Furthermore, Feldman gave his insight on the game, saying he thinks Texas will have a terrific offense for Dave Aranda’s defense to match up against. However, he thinks the game would go much better for LSU in Death Valley.
