LAURA RUTLEDGE (:09)
Laura Rutledge of ESPN and the SEC Network joins the show! She talks about how much she’s looking forward to sports returning. Looking at college football, it is a little more complicated and she’s optimistic about college football coming back, but especially the NFL. She also talks how there’s been an interesting dynamic with each state having there own view of how the season should happen. But the common consensus is, there needs to be a college football season. Especially in the SEC, what would it look like with games without fans? This week would normally be the SEC Baseball Tournament, what are Laura’s memories from past tournaments and what are some of her favorite things that have come out of it. Hunt is not a fan of interviewing coaches during games, so what does Laura think about that? And more!
CONNOR O’GARA (:32)
Connor O’Gara of Saturday Down South joins the show! He recently talked about who the best quarterback in SEC history is and how exactly you determine that. Many people say that a quarterback can’t be the best if they only played one season or in a sense only had one notable season, but Jacob argues with the what quarterbacks like Joe Burrow and Cam Newton have done and shown in a short amount of time, have every right to be in the talks. Hunt talks about how it use to be smaller programs that would use a spread offense, but now all the big programs are doing it as well. So in order to compete with them, what’s the next thing for these smaller programs in order to keep up? And more!
