HANGIN’ WITH HESTER HOUR ONE 05-21-20

Weekdays 1PM - 3PM

In hour one of Hangin’ with Hester, Jacob and Hunt talk LSU recruiting. Last night, LSU got a commitment from Savion Jones of St. James right here in Louisiana. The guys then talk about how much COVID19 has affected recruiting with players not being able to go to campus or practices and what to expect now over the next few months. After filming a special for CST with Matt Flynn and Richard Dickson, Jacob talks about the talent on the ’07 team and how he forgets just how many studs they had on the team. Moving to this year, they talk the offensive line and this is the part of the team that has the most question marks. Offensive line coach/running game coordinator for LSU, James Cregg, joins the show! And more!

JAMES CREGG (:24)

Offensive line coach/running game coordinator for LSU, James Cregg, joins the show! He talks about the ’19 team and the mentality and want that those players had. Looking at this year, what is the personality of this offensive line room and who does he think will emerge as a leader? Talking Anthony Bradford, is this someone that can step up and become a starter? Joseph Evans has moved from the defensive line over to the offensive line and James shares his thoughts on this transition. He also talks about working with his players during this pandemic on Zoom. They’ve been working on the play calls, installs, and just talking football in general in order to keep the guys in focus as much as possible. He also talks the NFL influence in the staff and how that has allowed them to implement new strategies. He talks Joe Burrow and just who he as a quarterback as well as the relationship between Joe and Lloyd Cushenberry. And more!
