They talk the LSU players/commitments who may leave or stay. Just as the show started, Kendall Rogers broke the news, “The NCAA Division I Committee for Legislative Relief has given D1 Baseball relief. Includes (for the 2020-21 academic year): * 35-man roster cap lifted. No limitation. * Annual counter has increased from 27 to 32 * The 25% scholarship minimum eliminated for a year.” Ronnie talks about how these rules are similar to those of 2009 and how he expects this to affects teams. Head LSU Baseball Coach, Paul Mainieri, joins the show! He talks the recent rule changes and relief given to D1 baseball. Which of these changes helps him and the team out the most? They talk the MLB draft. This year it’s only five rounds and Paul talks about how he likes this and thought the original forty was too many. He talks about his players and where he stands with his players leaving or staying. He also talks about the extra year of eligibility, it applies to all players not just seniors. So freshman will be freshman again. To Paul it will be two groups, Freshman 1 and Freshman 2. Paul talks this new off-season and what they’ve been doing to keep their players going and keeping them active right now. He also talks his newest commitments and what communication he’s having with them. And more!
