Hunt Palmer previews LSU vs Indiana

Weekdays 7AM - 10AM

Hunt Palmer of the LSU Sports Radio Network joined Jordy and T-Bob to preview LSU Baseball’s opening weekend at The Box.

“I don’t think it’s going to be pretty at all,” Palmer said of Coach Ed Orgeron’s first pitch tonight.

Palmer talks about whether he thinks this team will make it to Omaha at the end of the season.

“I have concerns…but the pitching staff can pummell people on the weekends,” Palmer said. “I think they should be able to pound teams into submission with that staff.”

What are his main concerns going into tonight’s match-up with Indiana?

“Their outfield tonight is…bad,” Palmer said. “It’s not a disaster, it’s just not the defense LSU usually puts on the field.”

How will the cather situation play out between Alex Milazzo and Saul Garza?

“I’m not certain what Milazzo’s bat’s going to look like,” Hunter said. “But he is athletic behind the plate.”

Finally, Palmer talks a bit about LSU Basketball taking on Alabama.

“They’ve got to play really well to win the game,” Palmer said. “They are very opposite in what they do, but I tend to like LSU in this game.”
