Jerry Palm of CBS talks his latest bracketology when he joins Matt in segment two. Palm currently has LSU as the No. 7 seed in the South Region. How much ground has LSU lost in seeding with this current run of play?
“Oh a couple of seeds atleast. It’s been a rough couple of weeks of play for them,” Palm said. “The losses to Vanderbilt and Alabama didn’t help. If you are looking for good wins on this resume, good luck.”
How will the loss at Vanderbilt look to the committee on Selection Sunday?
“It’s a bad loss. It’s part of who you are,” Palm said. “Everyone’s got them. No one has one as bad as Kentucky, but it happens. It’s a bad day.”
Does quantity help LSU? Let’s say the Tigers go 4-1 over their final five games with three of them on the road. What does this do for LSU’s seeding?
“It’s better than going 1-4, but again who are you beating that will impress anyone? Florida maybe,” Palm said. “They are going to make a splash at some point. They won’t make a splash against anyone on the remaining schedule.”
Palm has the SEC as a three to five bid league.
