Coach Jimmy Burrow joins Off the Bench to talk football, starting with his week off last week.
“It was great,” Burrow said. “It was fun to not have to worry about travel, but I’m ready to go again. I’m back in football attendance mode for sure.”
Burrow also shared his thoughts on going into an opposing team’s stadium as family.
“Most of the time, people are respectful,” Burrow said, “but there is always a few that yell some things that you wouldn’t want your kids to hear. We’ll still have our gear on representing Joe and LSU.”
Jimmy said that he didn’t know much about Joe’s separated shoulder prior to last year’s Alabama game.
“He never said anything to us too much about that,” Burrow said. “He just knew that at that particular day, they had a great plan on defense. It was a struggle. Alabama did have a great game plan. He just thinks (LSU is) much better prepared (this year) to handle anything an opposing defense throws at them.”
