New LSU football running backs coach Kevin Faulk joined Jordy and T-Bob to discuss his new role.
“Right now it’s the highest point,” Faulk said. “It’s the goal I knew when I graduated high school I wanted to be a coach and for it to happen here is a dream come true.”
When you look at this running back group, there are a lot of young guys. Does Faulk ever show tape of himself?
“I would hope that the respect factor of what I have done will have that effect,” Faulk said.
There are a lot of up-and-comers in the LSU running backs crew. What will the preperation look like?
“We’ve got John Emery and Ty Davis-Price, who played sparingly last year, and hey, that happens in football,” Faulk said. “Those guys have to learn a whole and mature real fast.”
LSU hired Scott Linehan to replace passing game coordinator Joe Brady. Faulk said he lives by the motto “there are no dumb questions.”
“He’s a question guy…coach doesn’t care, he’s going to ask the question,” Faulk said. “That’s just the many many years he’s been coaching, he just wants to understand.”
Finally, they discussed his growth as a recruiter.
