Mikie Mahtook talks the impact CoVid-19 has had on his baseball career

Weekdays 3PM - 6PM

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Mikie Mahtook joins Matt to kick off hour two to talk the impact of CoVid-19 on his baseball career. Mahtook was in spring training when the season was postponed. What has he been up to for the last 10 days?

“It’s been hard. Up until the governor came out with the stay at home order I was trying to find a cage to go hit in,” Mahtook said. “It kind of feels like being back in high school when you don’t have access to the best top notch facilities.”

Mahtook talks what his role was trending towards with the Phillies.

“For me, I was competing for a bench spot with an opportunity to get some starts vs. a lefty,” Mahtook said.

Mahtook talks how long it would take the players to get back in shape for the season when it resumes.
