Northwestern State head coach, Brad Laird previews the Demons’ trip to Baton Rouge

Weekdays 3PM - 6PM

Northwestern State head football coach, Brad Laird joins Matt as the Demons prepare to head down to Death Valley this weekend. What does Laird think about the experience of coming to play LSU.

“For us it’s awesome,” Laird said. “We have a lot of guys who are from Baton Rouge and Louisiana who grew up dreaming of being about playing in Tiger Stadium.”

Laird and his staff have been tasked with trying to replace an 1100 yard receiver from last season in Jazz Ferguson. Laird talks about how the Demons have gone about doing that.

“The first thing we had to replace is what Jazz did as a leader,” Laird said.

Laird commends the play of LSU’s senior quarterback, Joe Burrow.

“The way Joe has played has been second to none as far as his effiencey, and how he’s taken control of this offense,” Laird said. “It’s really been fun to watch on film and we will see it live come 6:39 Saturday night.”
