OTB Hour 1 | LSU Baseball has a high ceiling and floor

Weekdays 7AM - 10AM

Jordy and Cody gave you the weekend’s top headlines, including an LSU Basketball loss and LSU Baseball series win.

LSU took two out of the three games against Indiana at Alex Box Stadium. The Tigers went through 15 of their pitchers, including Jaden Hill who powered through the last few innings of the third game. Despite the loss, it’s nothing to freak out about – Indiana is a good team. What the Tigers showed over the weekend was potential and that’s what you’re hoping to see from the first few games.

John Brady of the LSU Sports Radio Network joined Jordy and Cody to recap LSU Basketball’s loss to Alabama over the weekend. Coleman Coliseum has been a thorn in the side of LSU’s program and Saturday was no exception.

“They had a really nice crowd,” Brady said. “LSU hasn’t won back-to-back there, ever.”

Darius Days wasn’t able to be on the floor for the Tigers for extended minutes, suffering from foul trouble. How do you coach him to keep him on the floor?

“Some of that is on him, he has to be able to defend without fouling,” Brady said. “Most of his fouls are nitpicky, unneccesary fouls.”

Finally, they talked about the tribute to Kobe Bryant at the NBA All-Star game.
