OTB Hour 2 | LSU vs Kentucky preview

Weekdays 7AM - 10AM

LSU’s pitching coach Alan Dunn joined Jordy and T-Bob to kick off the second hour to talk about kicking off the season and the performance of some of his guys.

“The overall way we played, I thought there were a lot of really good things that happened on both sides of the ball,” Dunn said. “If you were looking at what we did on the pitching side, we were able to get 15 arms in the game, which is critical in this part of the season.”

The play at catcher for LSU has been upgraded tremendously.

“I thought we had a very succesfull weekend with both (Saul) Garza and (Alex) Milazzo and the things they were able to do,” Dunn said. “That just solidifies what you’re trying to do as a pitching staff.”

Jordy, T-Bob, and the OTB crew answered your Mailbag questions.

ESPN College Basketball Analyst Jay Bilas joined Jordy and T-Bob to talk LSU vs Kentucky. What is the feeling around the LSU program?

“They’ve got a good team, they’ve got really dynamic playmakers in the backcourt,” Bilas said. “They’re still trying to search for the right defensive mindset.”

People have been saying depth could be one of LSU’s main deficiencies, but Bilas isn’t sold on that.

“I don’t think depth is that big of an issue in college basketball,” Bilas said. “Even if they lose a game here or there, you’re not disqualified, this isn’t football.”
