Statement from La. Catholic School Superintendents on LHSAA Split

All seven Catholic School Superintendents met in Baton Rouge Monday to discuss the future of their collective high school athletic programs in light of the further LHSAA select/non-select split approved by the state’s principals.  The superintendents confirmed the meeting in a joint statement:

“We can confirm that an exploratory meeting was held to discuss possible options for the future of Catholic high school athletics in Louisiana and that the process will continue.”

The statement might not be revealing, but whatever the “options” being considered are will certainly impact the future of high school athletics in Louisiana.
