LSU Head Basketball Coach Will Wade joined Jordy and T-Bob to talk about his team’s big win over Florida.
“I told the guys we need to enjoy the win, but there are a lot of things we need to improve and get better on,” Wade said. “We just did some things where we needed to execute better.”
Wade talked about how familiar LSU and Florida’s staff are with each other and how it makes it tough to prepare.
“We do a great job with scouting, but when you’ve got two teams with good players and good staff and good preperation, you’re going to have a good game,” Wade said.
His team has consitently found a way to get through high pressure situations. How has he trained his team to perform like this?
“There are some things we do that are very different in the last few minutes, which usually throws other teams off,” Wade said. “We don’t want to walk a high wire all the time, because eventually we’ll fall off.”
Wade discussed Marlon Taylor improvement.
“He was so active,” Wade said. “He’s 11 of 13 from the free throw line, which is just huge.”
Finally, Wade previewed the Tigers’ upcoming game against Texas.
“It’s going to be a battle,” Wade said. “We’re going to get their absolute best shot on Saturday in Austin.”
