Former LSU Football QB Zach Mettenberger joined Jordy and T-Bob in the second hour about his spring football league and why he calls T-Bob “party bob.”
“He looks damn good in our purple practice pants,” Mettenberger said.
The Spring League or “TSL” is a professional football developmental league. How did Mettenberger get involved?
“I still have the fire to play and, really, this is my only opportunity,” Mettenberger said.
Mettenberger is a very talented quarterback. What keeps him out of leagues like the XFL?
“That’s obviously front offices and scouts and I haven’t done enough to impress them,” Mettenberger said. “That’s why I’m trying to Kurt Warner this thing.”
What was it like watching Joe Burrow succeed from a far for the former Tiger signal caller?
“A lot of jealousy, for sure,” Mettenberger said.
Finally, they talked about what he needs to do to improve his game.
“I don’t think it’s ever been a talent thing with me,” Mettenberger said.”I’ve just got to do a better job of keeping my head down…my personality has always been a little rough around the edges.”
